Basic Environmental Enforcement

Description
This class is an overview of the state criminal laws controlling illegal dumping, water pollution, public health nuisances, and other forms of polluting.

Who Should Attend
This class is appropriate for law enforcement officers, code enforcement officers, elected officials, prosecutors and others in local government needing an basic orientation to state anti-pollution criminal laws.

Certifications

Certificates of Completion will be presented to all participants completing the class. The class is pre-approved by DSHS for the awarding of CEU's to code enforcement officers and registered sanitarians. For Texas peace officers, three (3) hours of TCOLE credit may be given at the discretion of participant's agency (Lesson Plan and Instructor Biography will be provided to give to Agency Training Officer). Peace officers seeking to earn TCOLE credits for completion of Class 3880 should verify with their Training Officer that this class meets Agency requirements prior to registration.
